Horizontal AHU Manufacturer in India

Energy efficient horizontal air handling unit in India

What is a horizontal AHU?

A horizontal air handling unit (AHU) is a floor mounted air treatment unit that conditions and moves air through a building. Its sections sit in a line: fan, coil, filters and any extra stages, all inside one insulated casing. Air comes in at one end, passes through each section in turn, and leaves cooled, heated, filtered or humidity controlled, ready for the ducts.

Because the sections are positioned end to end, horizontal AHUs are an ideal choice for plant rooms that have more available floor length than ceiling height. The side-access panel design also makes filters, coils and fans easy to access for regular inspection and maintenance. A reliable Horizontal AHU Manufacturer in India can provide configurations designed to meet the specific airflow, space and application requirements of different commercial and industrial buildings.

Why Choose Greenoz Horizontal AHU?

Managing indoor air quality in commercial spaces demands more than standard solutions. It requires a precision-engineered commercial Air Handling Unit (AHU) designed to meet your exact requirements while ensuring consistent performance across India’s diverse climate conditions.

Our horizontal air handling units are built with a modular design, enabling complete customization in configuration, size, filtration systems, and access panels. Whether you need efficient cooling for a 5,000 sq. ft. office or a large 1,00,000 sq. ft. commercial building, our AHU systems are scalable to deliver optimal airflow, energy efficiency, and performance.

What these specifications mean in use

Aluminium framework

Aluminium framework

Resists corrosion in humid and coastal conditions, where painted steel frames start to fail first.

Double Skin Panels with Thermal Break

Double-Skin Panels with Thermal Break

Limit heat gain into the cold air stream and reduce condensation on the casing, which keeps the unit and the plant room dry.

Higher density foam

Higher-density foam

A denser core holds its insulating value longer and keeps the panel rigid.

Multi slope SS 304 drain pan

Multi-slope SS-304 drain pan

moves condensate to the drain without leaving standing water, which is where odour and microbial growth begin.

IP 55 motors

IP 55 motors

Sealed against dust and water jets, suited to plant rooms and production floors.

Built to your configuration

Our horizontal AHUs use a modular design, so each unit is put together around your project instead of being selected from a fixed catalogue. Greenoz Cooling System offers customizable configurations to meet specific space, airflow and performance requirements. You can specify:

  • Size and airflow: From small office floors to large production halls
  • Configuration: The order and number of sections in the unit
  • Filtration: Filter stages matched to the air quality your space needs
  • Access panels: Positions and sizes planned around your maintenance route

Whether you are cooling a 5,000 sq. ft. office or a 1,00,000 sq. ft. commercial building, the same platform can scale to deliver the airflow, energy efficiency and performance the space requires across India’s varied climate zones.

AHU

Horizontal AHU or vertical AHU?

Horizontal AHU Vertical AHU
Layout Sections in a line, floor mounted Sections stacked, upright
Best when Plant room has floor length but limited height Floor area is tight and headroom is available
Maintenance Side access to each section Access from the front
Typical use Offices, hospitals, malls, production halls Compact plant rooms, retrofits, smaller footprints

Not sure which fits your plant room? Send us the dimensions and we will tell you. See also our Vertical AHU and Ceiling Suspended AHU ranges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our floor mounted horizontal AHUs cover 2,000 to 60,000 CFM. Units are modular, so a single platform handles everything from a small office floor to a large production hall.

A horizontal AHU lays its sections out in a line and suits plant rooms with floor length but limited height. A vertical AHU stacks the sections upright to save floor area. The airflow and treatment are the same; the choice comes down to the shape of your plant room.

Capacity follows your cooling load, the size of the space and the fresh air your occupancy requires. As a rough starting point for comfort cooling, many designers work from about 400 CFM per ton of refrigeration. Send us your load calculation or floor plan and we will confirm the right size.

A double-skin panel has an inner and outer sheet with insulation between them. It limits heat gain into the cold air, reduces condensation on the outside of the unit, and keeps the casing rigid. Our panels come in 25 mm to 50 mm thicknesses, with an optional thermal break profile for humid or high-heat plant rooms.

CFC-free polyurethane foam in densities from 30 to 60 kg/m³. Higher density gives a firmer panel and holds its insulating value longer.
